Neutral Posture Unveils Plans To Be The Preferred Diversity Supplier Of Ergonomic Industrial Seating

Bryan, Texas - When selecting seating for a lab, manufacturing plant or other industrial setting, especially those with ESD and Cleanroom requirements, facility managers consider durability, size and other technical specifications. Comfort and ergonomic features are usually the last thing on their list, if there at all. Neutral Posture, Inc. plans to help employers in industrial settings meet the ergonomic needs of its workforce without having to think about it.

Neutral Posture, known for the pressure-reducing contours and adjustability of its ergonomist-designed seating, is announcing plans to unveil its newest contribution to workplace health and safety – N·dustrial Seating. The new line features various chair and stool options that are specifically designed for industrial applications such as ESD, Cleanroom, manufacturing and medical facilities.

The certified Women’s Business Enterprise recognizes the need for ergonomic seating in industrial applications, because it understands that comfort is not usually one of the specifications facilities managers consider when procuring seating for unique applications, but it is vital to helping employees maintain their health and safety while they work.

“We have been manufacturing industrial seating for some years now, and this is an area that could use more options in comfortable seating from a company who knows ergonomics,” says Rebecca Boenigk, CEO of Neutral Posture, Inc. “We are going to focus more on meeting the needs of those who are in and out of stools all day long. We have a comfortable product that will help employers keep their workers more happy, healthy and productive, and they can do it while increasing their diversity spend.”

Neutral Posture’s N·dustrial Seating will feature a variety of seat and back styles including vinyl, upholstered, urethane and mesh. Different mechanism options will allow customers to choose the functionality their body and work setting requires. As with all Neutral Posture products, ergonomic comfort is crucial, and studies have proven over and over the importance of an ergonomically correct workstation and the numerous and invaluable benefits it provides to the employer and employee alike. Workers are not only more comfortable, but they are healthier, safer and happier at work with fewer nagging pains and the severe negative effects improper posture can cause over time.

Neutral Posture is known for unique innovation and will contribute to the industrial market with products such as the newly introduced NeXtep™. The NeXtep solves multiple problems for those who sit on stools. Stool footrings offer support for the feet to help maintain contact between the lower back and the backrest, improving posture and elevating the feet and legs for improved circulation. Neutral Posture has taken the concept a step further with the NeXtep - a wide, stable footrest with height adjustable legs that takes the place of a footring and extends beyond the reach of a traditional footring. The NeXtep can also be retrofitted to stools as a supplement to an existing footring. The platform provides a level surface to support the feet and allows for the correct ergonomic posture of an open angle at the knees and ankles. The NeXtep is the perfect complement to Neutral Posture’s N·dustrial line of ergonomic stools.

As Neutral Posture’s plans for the N·dustrial Seating division further materialize, industrial workplaces can expect to become more comfortable and healthy places to work – and sit. So while technical specifications for seating are on the employers’ list of things to consider, ergonomic comfort will be on Boenigk’s list of what Neutral Posture can provide.
